I always said that wild horses would never get me into a gym. If I wanted exercise I would cut the grass or go for a walk, both of which, of course, I kept to an absolute minimum. In my job I spend a lot of time driving and when I'm not driving I'm sitting at a desk or in a meeting.

After much encouragement my wife persuaded me to try personal training and introduced me to Richard. Personal training has changed my life. My posture has improved beyond recognition. I am much fitter and far stronger than I have been for most of my life. I was very sceptical of those who claim that personal training improves the quality of your life, but it turns out to be true.

I have been incredibly fortunate to have Richard as my trainer and I have no hesitation in giving him the strongest possible recommendation.

I have been manger of Alvestone Football Club Since 1997, at which point the club was close to extinction, having been relegated from the Premier division of the Midland Combination. A Rebuilding programme began.

Richard joined the management team in September 2008 and took over the responsibility of the player's fitness and physical conditioning, implementing a sophisticated programme of speed and stamina work carried out on a regular basis. Performances of all the players were monitored by Richard. Gradually the fitness levels of the team rose to show dramatic improvements across the broad.

Results improved tremendously and from finishing bottom in 20007/2008 we are now in a promotional position and have retained some of the original squad from 2 years ago. Richard has also played regularly and has never asked the squad to undertake any fitness regime he was not prepared to do himself.

I find him an excellent person to work with, showing dedication to his fitness beliefs that Alvestone Football club has been very fortunate to capture.
