Question:
"I seem to store more body fat around my stomach, how many sit-ups I have to do to get rid of my belly?"
Answer:
Too many!
Sit ups burn relatively few calories and although you will feel the burn in your stomach when perform them they have little to no value when it comes to fat loss. Unfortunately exercising a specific area of your body doesn't automatically make you burn fat from the same area.
Where you store your body fat is a reflection of your hormonal profile. This can be assessed by your biosignature practitioner. Storage of fat in this area is often associated with elevated cortisol (a stress hormone). I would look at trying to manage your stress levels more effectively by making some lifestyle changes, and by taking some specific nutritional supplements that your biosignature practitioner can recommend.
I would also recommend a professionally structured resistance training program using exercises such as squats, lunges, lat pull downs, as well as total body movements . These exercise (when performed correctly and at the right intensity) activate your abdominal muscles, burn more calories than sit ups, and provide superior strengthening and toning benefits allowing you to increase your metabolism and burn more fat all over.
Adding 1 pound of muscle increases your metabolism by 50 cals per day! Conversely spending hours doing cardio is counterproductive; as this will cause you to lose muscle, increase your cortisol levels, and lead to a slower metabolism in the long run.
Most importantly you can't out train an inadequate diet so cut out sugars, and processed food, and eat the foods nature put there for you to eat.
