Not just 'a walk in the park' but, when done correctly, a highly effective total body workout in the fresh air; Nordic Walking is now becoming established in the UK. It is suitable for all levels from health and rehabilitation to fitness to sports.
Using specially designed lightweight poles to propel yourself forward, you incorporate the large muscle groups of the upper body. The result is improved cardiovascular fitness and stamina, better posture, and increased calorie burning. However it is important to use the correct technique for optimum results.
Uta, our Nordic Walking instructor, is INWA trained through Nordic Walking UK and also holds the Conducting Safe Exercise Outdoors award. Uta is also a qualified Fitness Instructor and Nutritional Advisor.
Nordic walking is most enjoyable when done in small groups but one to one sessions can be arranged.
Regular Motus Nordic Walking sessions are currently available in and around Market Harborough, Leicestershire, but can be arranged in other areas on request.
